Have you ever bought a watch which had a waiting time after paying the deposit? if yes, which one? was it worth the wait when it finally arrived?

I recently booked a CW Bel Canto couple of months back after much deliberation and discussions with some of you on WC (arriving on Mar'24)

No but 4 month wait for SM300 service felt much longer!! Worth it, came back like new 😁👍

I've had a couple of watches come in after a wait, they were worth the wait. I tend to not buy unless I'm 99% sure I'll love it, so that helps.

I find that the watches you wait for end up being more cherished, and are more likely to stay in the collection long term. The ones with instant gratification wear off quickly and I fall out of love with them quickly as well.

I bought a watch on preorder once. it was a bit of a spontaneous purchase. by the time it arrived, the luster had gone. I wouldn't do it again.
