For me I first saw a Omega and then a Rolex live in person when I was a kid. Didn’t know much about watches at the age of 8yo. I remember going to work with my Dad as he was a cop and security for NJ. He did a lot of WWF/WWE and met Rick Flair and saw that bright gold watch thinking of that’s a wide bracelet(lol). He said kid it’s a Rolex and then from there I started wanting to know and learn about watches. As of now I own a 2021 Hamilton Broadway, 2012 Tudor Black Bay Red Bezel Smiling Face (getting serviced now), 2020 Orient Mako II. Looking at a new Tudor GMT White Dial, Bronze Black Black, Omega World Timer, Christopher Ward Trident 300, and a Breitling Navitimer

I honestly love it. I received a lot of compliments and questions about it. It’s just the right size for my wrist. It’s not as big as I thought it would be. It’s been my everyday watch to wear.

That’s awesome! I am really considering getting one. Haven’t anything bad yet!
The Mako is nice. I’ve got a first gen Pepsi bezel Mako that has been great been isn’t finding much wrist time anymore.
For me it was the Moonswatch , before I always loved watches but seaching for the Moonswatch at the both the Swatch stores in Miami and Florence got me hooked.

Breitling Navitimer, last one on your list is one of 2 Breitling models, the other being the Chronomat that really made my interest in mechanical watches a passion back in the 80s. I had dabbled years before that but I am not convinced I would still be wasting my disposable dollars decades later without the influence of those two iconic timepieces.
1985 - Rolex Submariner ref: 168000 (transitional.) Purchased after my first "big sale" at an AD with none of the nonsense and shenanigans that goes on now...
