Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Levels, “A level” above everything I’ve done before.

During my short journey of 2 years in junior college, although I’ve managed to overcome many obstacles, it really gave my indomitable spirit a run for its money, almost making me give up due to the sheer stress faced in this education system… but I did not. I tried my best, my hardest and I inevitably crossed the finish line. The day after my last paper (I think I had around 20 examination papers over the span of 3 months), I bought this Seiko with all the money left in my wallet… may not have been the wisest of decisions but I do not regret it at all. Looking at this watch will always remind me that if I want to cross the finish line, I can, and if I can, I will.

This Friday I will be receiving my results and I hope that it will be good (78 RP lol) and that all my efforts will pay off, for I have tried my absolute best. On the flip side, I do recognise that it is not the end of the road if I do not do as well as expected, but my journey has been quite rocky… with many pitfalls along the way, so I really do hope that I can finally bring home the win this Friday.

I’ll be wearing this Seiko back in its original oyster bracelet, awaiting for 2.30pm (Singapore time), which is the standardised reporting time for this year’s result collection.

Cool watch. May it serve you well whatever you after. Don't stress too much about A levels. I had my worst grades I'm high school.

For what it's worth, I don't recommend Cambridge University. I was an "invited speaker" there once and what they served as "food" in the college where I stayed is what my grandparents wouldn't even feed their pigs. I'm not joking. Without hot sauce it wouldn't have been edible. Also the city is terrible, the students don't seem to be having any fun. They all go to bed early after they make them go to dinner in these halls

Which are dark and depressing.

I guess what I am trying to say, don't be sad if it doesn't go as planned. Good grades and admissions to fancy places (like that Harry Potter-esque Trinity dining hall) are no guarantee for happiness or even success. And beyond that nobody will care about these grades. If you are determined you will make you own happiness.
