Good shops in London for used watches?

I was walking through Mayfair and took a detour through Burlington Arcade. For non-Londoners this is a very upmarket shopping arcade with a few new and used watch dealers. It was fun but all the watches in the windows were excellent conditions and fully priced (they would have to be to cover the rent!).

Does anyone have any shop recommendations for browsing and buying?

Thanks in advance

That's a great question. I've never found anything in a London bricks and mortar shop which was good value compared to online, but that's just my experience. Like you say the overheads must be high.

Outside of London in smaller towns I've had some luck in indepedent jewelers and pawnbrokers as they sometimes have used stock which has been on the shelves for months or years and so can be very open to negotiation to make a sale and move it on.

I'd be interested in any tips from others though as the in person shopping experience can be fun.

First post on the forum guys, just thought I'd mention that Freeport outlet in Braintree, Essex has an Ernest Jones that has a large selection of pre owned. Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Longines, Hamilton, Tag, and many lower to mid range brands, they are also open to offers. Didn't see any Rolex last time I was there.

Love Burlington arcade. Also Grays antique market in Bond Street has loads of great things.

Neither are cheap though (Grays you might find some £2k-£3k things.)

To be honest it’s hard to beat online.
