Can't resist a special edition Swatch. I, like many of my kind, loathe Times Square, so I avoid it as best as I can. As a result, I'm around the Swatch store that carries these less often than your average gawking in the middle of the sidewalk tourist. So, when fate drags me close to that center of distraction, slow walkers, and scammers ranging from the corporate to the street Elmo, I snag a little reward for myself. Anyway, that's how I justified spending money I shouldn't on another watch so soon. Strap replacement is annoying, but I fortunately have a full hex driver set, including the 0.9mm hex drivers required for this. Because, frankly, at this size, with my wrists, the nato is unwearable. Who thought putting a pass-through nato on a watch with a decorative back and 15mm height was a good idea?! Fortunately I had, on hand, a rubber 22mm strap that was a perfect fit. Actually re-used the stock bars, I like how they securely hold the strap better than the quick release springbars. It's definitely large on my wrist, but I don't mind it as much as I thought I would. The color is somehow fun, but still feels like a refined design. First day impression is that I actually kind of love it. Also, I know they put an anti scratch coating on the crystal, which has held up on my "What If" Swatch watches over the past few months, but I'm still treating this like all my Swatches with the bio-sources crystals: like it's made of wet tissue paper.
