Morning Brew

When I got my first Brew Metric, I thought there was something wrong with it. I found the tactile bump and click from the pusher wasn't related to starting or stopping the chronograph. The actuation point wasn't the same as the point of tactility. I asked Brew about it, and they said it shouldn't feel like that. However, two replacements later all had the same feel.

I think I just wasn't supposed to notice it.

That said, support was helpful, and I did get to try three of these before concluding that's just the way they are.

Now, as for the actual watch? It looks great in person. The stark contrast of the black and red really pops. I actually really like the lack of a third subdial or date window, it gives it a bit more of a unique look. The pushers do have a nice click, even if you have to remember to push just a little harder than is required to do anything.

I've never seen sapphire glass cast so much of a blue hue on the face. It's only at the right angle, usually it looks like it does in my photo, but, yes, you can definitely see the blue hue sometimes. It's not terrible, or unsightly, just something worth mentioning. The minute subdial is also a little hard to read in the lighter areas, where you can't see the 5 minute markers as well, but it's not too bad. Final drawback would be the lack of any lume, even though it looks like it might have some good spots for it.

It's certainly a great looking watch. Just the right size on the wrist and easy enough to adjust for your compfort with an included link removal tool and some micro adjustment on the clasp. You can almost forget it's there, until you need to know the time. You certainly won't forget looking.

Unpopular opinion, I love the blue color that AR coating casts on the crystal.
