Used my MT&W chronograph to unofficially time my son's friend's winning time in the 1600 meter dash at their middle school track meet.

I have not seen the official time, but I clocked 5:05. He won the event in the previous meet with an official time of 5:07. He is quite an impressive young runner! Surely he will be well under 5 minutes by the time he graduates from high school.

I see now that it does appear to be slightly under 5 minutes on the minutes subdial. I hope it is just the angle of the picture and not the hand not being aligned properly. He usually runs the 1600 in a little over 5 minutes.
