Thoughts on Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto?

Don't know what do you think but even though i don't like this kind of watches i somehow liked it. But why there are a lot of bell watches started to be announced :) Re-novation? :)

Too dressy for me. But it's not bad looking I guess. But I want something that more closely resembles a tool watch while also being good looking.
And I don't buy anything with leather because I don't want to support that industry. Which is a shame that so many micro brands feel the need to load up on the leather pouches etc.
This is the type of thing I look for.

When it's too dressy I just feel like the watch is trying too hard. And then I feel like it looks like I'm trying too hard as well. You know what I mean?

Not sure about the Citizen. Most digital Casios have it. Beep not a chime but I'm happy with that.
What is old may be new again but for CW it is advancement. I love that the brand is leaping into higher horology complications and building their own modules and creating cases with metals they have not previously worked with. Kudos to Christopher Ward for not resting on their laurels.

Seems like, i also immediately thought about it and tbh the first watch i've seen and heard was the bell hora as a chime watch :) don't blame me i'm into watches for a long time but really started to explore real things just 3 years ago :)

I had no idea until I saw that interview, and I'm a CW fan.
I have a couple of CW watches, and CW is an impressive business. I can see that the Bel Canto is a huge achievement. It's not a watch I would wear, except on very odd occasions. Even if it is relatively cheap for the type of watch it is, it lacks real world utility, unless aesthetics are the only consideration ... or investors are hoping to sell at a considerable profit a few years down the line - and they may have called it right. The limited run is sold out, so it's hit the mark with some target customer segment, and reviewers. What do I know.
