Got my dad’s watch today. A Citizen Skyhawk Eco Drive JR3060-59F from 2003

So today, my dad passed me one of his watches: a Citizen Skyhawk Eco Drive JR3060-59F. He bought the watch in 2003 when he got his pilots license. The funny story is that he got it because he thought it would be useful for flying but his planes all had flight computers so it he never actually used it for flying. But it was his daily driver since then and he wore it everyday til last week when he said it finally stopped working properly. Mind you, he only had it service twice since buying it. I was never a huge fan of the aviation watches of Citizen because they look so busy but the more I wear it the more I like it. Partly because it was my dads too. I think I will have it repaired and cleaned up. This will definitely stay as a permanent part of my collection.

I have the Blue Angels version of this exact watch:

It's a great watch. It was my 18th birthday gift from my parents in July, 2004, and I'm proud to say that I was able to resurrect it from death late last year (18 years later!), and it's still going strong. (The saga can be found here:

I'm wondering if yours stopped working correctly because the six o'clock subdial hand appears to have fallen off of its pinion. Is it fouling the movement of the analog hands in your piece, maybe? In your pic, it appears to be up near the 1 o'clock indicator on the dial near the rehaut. Maybe it just needs to be placed back on the pinion?
