Can anyone pin a date on this Huer stop watch?

I’m useless with stopwatches, this was my grandfathers he used during his time racing dogs, it still works perfectly, it does seem to have a hinge on the back, but I’ll be dammed if I can figure out how to open it?

Can anybody help with a model or year?

Looking inside might help but appreciate you can’t open it.

It’s quite a distinctive dial so I suggest trawling through the catalogs to try to find it.

Yes and that has a serial number inside the case so you would know if yours was earlier or later than that one … if you can open it.
