Axios Flagship 40: A retro-inspired stunner
I am a sucker for retro-inspired divers.
Axios delivered something that hit the right spots in all the right places for me when it comes to that 60s vintage diver inspiration and all that comes with it. I am seeing some doxa sub, bulova oceanographer, jenny carribean and some other inspirations.
Build quality is also very nice, with the bracelet being the best I have seen on the microbrand market. Signed crown, signed clasp and engraved back no less.
Throw a boxed sapphire crystal in there and a miyota 9015 and you get a vintage look with all the right modern materials and production processes.
Earlier this year however, I had a problem with my bracelet clasp. I emailed axios and within a few hours they responded and sent me another one, arrived a few days later. Good to see that they stand behind their product as well.
All things considered, a stunner watch, and a very strong contender to the baltic aquascaphe at this price range. I got a way nicer bracelet with this one than the baltic :)
