Arken

So put up a post recently on YEMA vs CW C63 GMT. The CW came out on top by far. Today I just discovered this Arken Titanium GMT with a Moita movement and 200m water resistance for under $1000. So… now question is this or the CW? I love the look of the Arken and it’s much more limited.

Thoughts? Very few reviews online of Arken which makes it riskier.

Tough decision, both are really cool. For me and that particular Arken, the choice would revolve around how fond you are of the supplied strap. It appears custom and you won't be able to swap without having something custom made. The CW is a strapmonster and you can make all kinds of swaps. I'd probably do the CW.

Also just to Ireland back from Seattle, BC and Alaska. PNW is an incredible part of the world

This Arken doesn’t do it for me.

I was also looking at the Arken. I think it comes with a strap adapter to enable the user to fit "normal" straps to the integrated design.

For me personally, the Arkens' design doesn't speak to me enough to buy. I'm also slightly wary of the customisations done to the 9075 movement that may make servicing in the future more difficult.

The Christopher Ward, however...

Ya fair comments. I love the design but wary also as a very small company (one man) with not much track record yet
