Well... I know why it stopped working...

IT JUST NEEDED A NEW BATTERY!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

His loss, my gain.

Truth be told, I bought this Swatch expecting to have to do a lot of work with isopropyl alcohol on a cocktail stick through the gap under the battery cover, and a magnet to move the hands round in case the cogs were stuck inside, but it turned out to be way simpler.

A lot of scratches on the crystal which is de rigeur with Swatch watches anyway. I initially tried some PolyWatch, but as you can see, that stuff is a lie and never works.

I also had to replace the clasp and keeper with new ones from my box of spares. The rest of the strap was perfect after a quick wash with Fairy liquid and warm water.

Maybe I should have gone over the case with baking soda too, but it's more or less okay as far as any "bioceramic" will ever be. It'll get more dents and scrapes as I wear it because it's obviously only plastic after all, but as it's black, they won't show.

I got the Brasso out, and a few minutes later, the crystal was pretty much as new again. I set the correct time, went outside, and took a pic.

So for only ยฃ10, a new battery, and a little bit of TLC, I just got a new ยฃ77 Swatch.

It doesn't get much better than that. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
