My first flieger style watch: Type B

I couldn’t get myself to spend $400+ on a Laco. So I settled on an Orient. I’m glad I waited because the older model had too many unnecessary dial literature. This version is much cleaner and truer to the flieger design.

That's sharp! Didn't know they even made a pilot's watch

I wouldn't say you settled. Orient makes a great watch. The Laco may be a "better" watch but not $400 better.

You nailed it on my thinking. Entry level Miyota 8200 on a Laco @ $400 is a stretch. If they dropped it to $300 maybe I will reconsider. I’d pay $400+ if they put an ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200. I’m happy with the in-house Orient caliber on this watch for under $200.
