I couldn’t get myself to spend $400+ on a Laco. So I settled on an Orient. I’m glad I waited because the older model had too many unnecessary dial literature. This version is much cleaner and truer to the flieger design.

You nailed it on my thinking. Entry level Miyota 8200 on a Laco @ $400 is a stretch. If they dropped it to $300 maybe I will reconsider. I’d pay $400+ if they put an ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200. I’m happy with the in-house Orient caliber on this watch for under $200.
