Can anyone help me identify this Hamilton?

It was my late father in law's. Somebody else has it, so I can't flip it over to check for reference numbers.

Jim. I did some research online on this very question as well. I learned that Hamilton watches have a serial number on the movement. So I took my old Hamilton in to a watch repair shop and they opened it up, and gave me the serial number. From that you should be able to go online to get information on the model and approximate date of manufacture.

Many thanks, Tony. Since I was not a son I made sure one of his got it. I'll mention it to them. We had hoped to restore it a few years ago for him as a gift but it didn't work out. Isn't that rally bracelet metal? yswidt?
