Title says it all. I didn’t want to tell him anything was off about it in case I was wrong. Is this how it’s supposed to be? Did someone replace the case back? I’d appreciate anyone’s insight!

Dark Side Of The Moon is a real edition of the Speedmaster.

If this particular one is real? You gotta ask yourself… would this particular friend gift you a watch worth several thousand dollars?

Right, I thought it was full ceramic. Did they sell it with a steel case and case back before?

That I couldn’t tell ya. I’m not well-versed in all of Omega’s special editions. Have you tried doing a search on the net?
I think it's supposed to be a Speedmaster racing coaxial master chronometer. Unfortunately I don't think it's genuine.
It’s not real I’m afraid day wheel should be black not white tachimetre

Should be written in red case should be Saphire not solid and shouldn’t have any mention of the dark side of the moon

That’s good point. Searching all possible versions of the edition - seems like day disc is always dark color (black or solid gray depending on version). So white disc indeed looks off.
I guess should have transparent caseback. Also, if not mistaken it comes on a strap, not bracelet (unless strap was changed).
Also the Tachymetre looks wrong, there are dots next to the numbers, for but for some reason there are 2 dots around the 400 marker
Appreciate the feedback everybody. I’m going to tell my friend to take it into a watch maker to get it checked out.
