What is Your favourite outdoor combo?

For oneday trip through nature (no climbing etc.) I usually choose Seiko Sportura Perpetual Solar on NATO strap and Boker+ Jim Wagner outdoor folding knife. I also love to use g-shocks and wide assortment of fixed blades but i usually do not go that way unless I am really for a few days in rough nature where some sort of "survival" is neccessary.

I find myself wanting a no-nonsense carry when outdoors for some reason now.. light blade like a para3 LW, Hamilton khaki field, maybe a sak and that’s it!

I love Spyderco knives but I cannot have them for two reasons:

1) my wife love Spyderco so every Spyderco i bring home is "confiscated" by her and I usually find it in a stroller or her backpack :)

2) I like to use outdoor knife for woodsplitting and Spyderco knives are quite delicate in that regard in a long run

Yeah, true, they’re more slicers than wood splitters that’s for sure!

Good thing your wife likes them though! 🤣

Seiko solar & a solid folder.

Spyderco Delica or Kershaw Link.

By myself:

Whatever field/diver I feel like, on a strap, Prometheus Design Werx TI button compass. Lots of options for me, Momentum, Citizen, Seiko, Lorier, Elliot Brown, Winfield. Sometimes might throw on the ol' warhorse Casio Protrek.

Benchmade auto or Spyderco Delica in pocket for general work. Tarani/5.11 kerambit, Benchmade SOCP, or Toor Jank shank, appendix.

Depending on location and season, either an Icarus frame M18, or 12 gauge with slugs. (Shotty is not for two legs, bears and mountain lions are waaaay too scary to hope I don't miss with a large caliber revolver)

Streamlight wedge w/full charge and a backup Streamlight micro.

TQ either on belt or other pocket. Cell phone external battery.

Gatorz or Pit Vipers, depends on mood.

Nalgene.

With wife, kiddo, and pup:

Are you nuts? I only ruck march with heavy packs for training and I have to...

If the stroller and/or wagon can't make it, I'm out.

I generally roll out with my Hamilton Khaki for day trips and my Seiko ProSpex Land Tortoise for multi-day trips. I always refresh my knowledge on how to use the compass bezel before I go out.

I carry a Victorinox Swiss Champ and either an Esee Izula II or Buck 110. Will add a Mora Garberg for over night.

The Tudor ranger either on a NATO or MN strap is my go to when I’m out and about. It’s highly legible, comfortable not too heavy (even on the braclet) and it’s one of those watches that feels like it could take a few hits and still be asking for more.

I carry a lil native for basic sharp duty from Spyderco and I still want a Shaman if I come across one available at the right price:)
