I posted this watch yesterday, noting that I hadn't worn it in quite some time, but a newly-arrived bracelet made an unworn watch new again. The dial is a grayish-purple.
Immediately after I posted, I read @SimonB's thread for his son and the purple-dialed watch to honor his fight against cancer, which represents a moment of joy between a father and his son.
Simon, if you happen to come across this post at any point and for what it's worth, for whatever small comfort this might possibly bring for someone that I've never met but for whom my heart hurts for nonetheless, I plan to wear this watch for the next week in tribute. I will think of your family whenever I wear it. Be well.
I like watches, wine and whisky, photography and travel, beer and coffee, and definitely cinema and cooking. But I love my family most of all.
