Ring glare?
Does anyone know what causes the semi circular glare on the dial? I’ve never seen this effect before.

Hmmm… AR coating maybe? I’ll defer to the Seiko experts on this one.
Not a Seiko expert but it seems like you have a raised crystal and the glare is due to the sunlight hitting the crystal exactly at the edge.
Yep, saw that today on my PRX
I would say it's probably either the reflection of the rehaut or the edge of the crystal. Nothing more strange other than reflection/refraction.
Oooh interesting, thanks for the replies. I think its a box crystal so maybe its the direct light catching the edge like you said. It doesn't show well in the photos but IRL the circle is very prominent, I thought I had a sticker stuck on the crystal lol

The box crystal effect especially with the sapphire its normal under the direct light.
