Vintage 1500 Oyster Day, blue shantung dial - first vintage watch and just scared! Anyone else afraid to wear a vintage watch daily? Just not getting the wrist time I thought it would. Am I over thinking?
As long as you avoid water and heavy duties, I think you are good. I wear my vintage watches daily. And if they get knocks and scratches, then so be it. Imperfections can be beautiful.

Definitely, hope I can get over it or it might have to leave! Can’t have it just sitting in the case
I was given a new Datejust for my 16th birthday in 1971. I wore it continuously for over 45 years. As my collection has grown I no longer wear it daily but at least several times a week. I’ve never been reckless with it but it’s survived all these years with the least amount of babying. These are robust work horses meant to survive no matter what. Wear yours and enjoy it.
I have a 3 watch collection, this was the 3rd and I’m just not wearing it. Have something for special occasions and an everyday “beater” this sits in the middle of that. I really thought I’d wear it more but it’s just not getting wrist time like I thought it would. Would rather it be with someone that would enjoy it more
The size is is great! But now the hassle of selling mine I think 😞. Was hoping all these positive comments would help but just don’t think this is the watch for me

No doubt about it. Leaning towards letting it go but all these comments definitely make that decision harder!

Why did you want to let it go?

I have several vintage watches and love them all. Their size an patina set them apart, making them unique. Enjoy yours!
(My birth year watch. Very vintage, lol)
