LAMBERTI-OROLOGIAI - CHRONODROMO: Review!

Lamberti Orologiai is a microbrand based in Italy. It's actually a one-man show. Lamberti owns a jewellery shop and has a passion for watchmaking. I had the pleasure of buying this watch in his shop and talk to him about it and witnessing his passion firsthand.

Now the watch:

41mm diameter, 13mm thickness, 50mm lug-lug, powered by the well-known Seagull ST19 hand-wind chronograph.

The movement is assembled by the watchmaker and precisely tuned and tested.

The case is stainless steel, fully brushed and fitted with a sapphire crystal.

The watch sports a see-through back case and has a 30m water resistance (basically you can only wear it on a light rainy day), no screw-down crown and no gaskets on the pushers.

The original strap is very supple, has a nice feeling and is comfortable to wear despite this being a quite substantial watch. In my case the hook of the strap is a bit short so I have to pay attention buckling it.

There are a variety of dials and hands to choose from in the Chronodromo lineup. I picked this one with the "safari green" dial, no numerals, black subdials. It has a very sporty look with the holed strap.

The tachimetric scale adds a final touch to the outer rim of the dial.

It wears pretty good and it's on the very affordable end retailing at 580EUR. I bought it at 540, just before the recent price increase.

A few pictures here below. I wear it quite a bit, so you might see the occasional stain or buff and the strap bend.

Overall I'm quite impressed and I end up wearing this watch quite often in my rotation.

Please note that the stars and scores I assigned are based on the retail price. Overall I rate this as very good value for money.
