Red Citizen Frankenwatch - fascinating
I think the idea of these Indian watch repairmen taking old citizen and seiko movements and refurbishing them into unique designs is fascinating. This is not an original Citizen design, it is as they call a Mumbai Special. I am just getting into watch collecting and watch repair so I find this vintage movement the perfect test piece to work on servicing a watch. Paid about $40 for it and I think it’s stunning. It will be Even more so after I take it a part, blow it out and oil it. Runs great, keeps time well. I ordered a new watch band already for it because the band that came with it was not very good and this will allow the watch to match my motorcycle.
