Picking my first diver

I'm leaning towards the burnt orange "red" mako v3 but can't decide between these 4. I like the date window at the 4 o'clock but also like the numbering on the makos. Ordering a swatch for my son for his 12th birthday and going to splurge on jomashop and get myself something too.

I think the burnt orange has the most character of the bunch

The Orient Triton (4 o'clock crown, 51mm L2L) is a much bigger watch than the Mako (47mm L2L) so that should be a consideration, more than color.

I would stick to the more contained Kamasu case used in the Mako 3. Checks out the Kamasu gen 1 and gen 2 for a dozen more color options in the same package.

I have a pretty big wrist and the Triton wears a little smaller then its size but I get what you're saying.
