I have both the GW5000U and the GWM5610 in my collection, along with other G Shock Squares. The GW5000U is definitely worth the extra money, at least in my opinion. Full steel case and screw-on caseback. It has rapidly become my favorite G Shock Square, even replacing my GMWB5000 as my go to G Shock Square.
p.s. just in case anyone is curious, I also have a G5600U, a GWS5600, a GWX5600, a GW5530, and of course a DW5600, along with the three already listed.
