My Seiko 5 SNXS is in reality a SNXS 2.0
First of all let us have a look at the pros of this SNXS81. Well it is a compact, versatile, unexpensive, elegant and beautiful watch. Just look at this dial. Absolutely amazing. Next to hour, minutes and seconds it also features a day date complication equipped with great lume on hands and markers.
What are the cons: bracelet, movement and crystal. So I have exchanged the original bracelet with hollow end links and folded links to a quality piece J style bracelet. Than I have exchanged the hardlex crystal with a sapphire crystal and exchanged the 7S26 movement with a NH36 hacking and handwinding movement.
Even with the cons, it would be still a great watch and next to watches with higher price tags in my collection, it gives the „crowns“ a high „5“.

I do love a Seiko SNXS. Had the SNXS73 twice and stupily decided to sell it both times. Might pick one up again soon 🤣

This is crazy as I this watch here is number 4 that I have bought and sold 3 times the same watch. First you taste the size, second one was broken, third one had a strange domed crystal and now this one will stay!
