Watch Press Tool

So, in my niaveity I thought I could push the back of a push back watch on with my thumbs. I was very much mistaken. After a sold 20 minutes of liberal swearing and some mild pain, I consulted the mighty YouTube for a solution. Alas the watch press tool was presented.

A dive into Amazon and the above was purchased. Once I selected the right sized press dies/moulds then as back clicked in in a second.

Mildly infuriating but as I’m still early into my DIYing of doing watch repairs/battery changes I’m not going to be too hard on myself.

This the tool I got for the job.

These make quick work of otherwise impossible jobs when a chintzy case back gets a little warped or something. I have the one from Harbor Freight that doesn't go up as large with the plastic cups. Selecting the right size one of them is the hardest part of the whole job.

My first attempt nothing happened then I changed the cup thing. So I completely agree with you.

Got one of these for my Mrs, she's just getting started. I'm a clutz and realise my limitations, but happy to encourage her.

I have one of these too. It's seldom used, but highly prized when needed.

The press is vital. I've even used mine to replace crystals. I wouldn't be able to without it.
