This module is Benrus’ simple answer to a quartz movement during the “Great Quartz Watch Race”, in which they took their traditional Swiss ETA movement (used in their mechanical watches) and “modified” it to accomodate a Motorola of USA electronic module. Early versions retained the slots where the mainspring and balance would normally be located.

A museum piece for sure - especially love the packaging.
I note it has two battery hatches - how often do they need replacing?
This #vintage digital #benrus is super cool! I know this is a vintage piece but for me it still has a touch of futuristic design that makes it look awesome 😎
