Watch thickness

Weight?

The Zeitwerk is gold, no? So it should be about 90g whereas the Bremont is probably closer to 70g, my guess is that 20+% in weight adds to the feeling since it will substantially affect the rotational inertia of your wrist.

Maybe so… I haven’t weighed them, but the Zeitwerk is heavier. Both are white gold… but yes, perhaps the weight is a contributory factor, although this was really just about the visuals and the look…

I didn't know Bremont made a gold watch 😮

But still, can you really isolate visuals from weight if you have the watch on your wrist? Seems like isolating taste and smell when eating a food, very hard (at least for me 😅). So if a watch is heavy it may leave you with the feeling it is bigger and every time you look at it this idea gets injected into your thought process...

Just speculating of course 😉

The Bremont’s case has different shapes, cuts and colors on the side of the case, all designed to break it up visually into smaller chunks. The ALS has a “slab” side, with nothing to really give your eyes a break. That’s why even though they’re essentially the same thickness, the ALS seems so much thicker. Tudor watches often get a bad rap for this as well.
