The small things
So like some others here a few month ago i ordered an erebus origin, but unlike most i was mad enough to order the yellow one. What can i say... my expectations are more than fulfilled.
The quality of the watch and bracelet is meticulous... for this pricepoint. The colour of the dial is not just yellow, but has a golden shimmer to it. I like it. The ratcheting of the bezel is clicky with just a hint of backplay. The fit of the parts is overall very good. No rattling here. All in all the watch is what you would and should expect from Jody.
But the reason why I am writing this post are the small things which do not go unnoticed. As I live in germany, the watch was sent with DHL. No problems with shipment or the customs here, although fees had to be paid. The watch arrived on the 16th. And what beheld my weary eyes as I opened the watchcase... the date of the watch was set to 16th. The date on the warranty card was also the 16th... So not a coincidence. Well done.
But as I waited one more day to open the package it was allready the 17th, nevertheless I appreciate it a lot. But more important, like the donkey I am, I pulled the crown out and sat the date, without thinking about the position of the hands and that i could damage the movement. After realizing and cheking the position of the hands... i noticed they where place on noon. Nice forethought. Well done...
So as you can read. I think Jody and his team did a good job with their first watch.
