First scratch = broken in

Well I noticed the first scratch on my new Islander today. Guess it’s now broken in. Hehe. Same feeling as that first scratch on a new car, sucks but like most of us say, these nice things are meant to be used.

when you own a watch long enough you come to love all of the scratches.

Thats usually me after about 17 seconds with a new watch. Usually the first doorknob I pass lol. The advantage is now you can just enjoy!

The first ding always hurts a little, but once you get that out of the way, you worry a lot less about damaging the watch. Looks like this one took quite the whack!

Bro! 😭 That isn't a scratch that's straight up damaged 😭 Islander Upper Brookville sure maybe your everyday piece but it's a looker and needs to stay handsome 😎 Get that shit repaired LOL!!!

Crazy thing is that a slight contact with a rough textured vase did that when I was putting my coffee cup down vs. an activity that would have involved my g-shock.

What?!?! Did you break the vase at least 😯😆

Bro that's not cool you should reach out to Marc at LIW and seek some advice. My advice is to brush it out. I know there's product out there that may possibly remove that scratch and keep the high polish. I know how to get a satin brush finish on that bezel with the use of a green Scotch guard and fine blue Scotch guard sponges. But it'll change the polish.

That's a sweet watch bro! I don't know if I could keep that scratch there for the life of the watch. Just my experience brother 🤙🏽
