Tony the Turkish soldiers fought bravely against the Australian and New Zealand contingent dropped off onto the wrong beach an almost impenetrable cliff fortress. After the loss we endured there was a great respect for the valiant and courageous young Turkish boys that defeated us and defended their homeland while respecting the sanctity of our fallen and us of theirs . 140,000 Anzac lives in all lost ( Australia , New Zealand Army Corps ) ANZAC’s one of our worst military disasters.
