Omega Chrono Quartz 1611

I recently purchased a new quartz movement from Switzerland. From what I've been told it's no different from other quartz modules, in that you take the old one out and pop the new one in. Omega won't touch it as it's not their part, but neither do they have any! Any tips oradvice welcome, other than go to a repairer. May open it up myself.

Ambitious, but if you've got the skills why not.

Cracking piece, good luck- look forward to seeing the pics of it fixed & on wrist. Very cool 👍

Is it completely dead or just partially? For example, digital displays work but analog not or something like that?

Completely dead. Corrosion around the battery connection
