Had a bit of a misfire with my first Islander but I’m glad this one was discounted sufficiently to allow me to give them another go (duties and shipping make these a pricier decision than for those in the US).
This doesn’t wear as small as its dimensions mainly due to its thickness. And - wear wise but not colour wise - it very much reminds me of my first watch which was a Technos junior dive watch in the 1970s.
Lume is impressive too.

Driven to watches (researching and collecting affordably) by the boredom of COVID lockdowns. My - possibly attainable - grail watch would be a 6245 (Seiko or Grand Seiko) in nice condition … someday.
