Repairing the battery compartment

My mom found the watch my grandfather used to wear, a gold coloured quartz Lorus from the early 80s. I wanted to refurbush it by putting in a new battery, polishing the acrylic crystal and putting it on a grey leather strap...

After opening it I saw that the battery had leaked. I wanted to clean al the gunk out of the battery compartment and clean up the contact points. But upon touching the + terminal it just snapped of. R3d is how it is supposed to be. Corrosion was worse than it seemed 🙁

Does anybody have an idea how to be able to fix this and make sure the + of the battery is connected to the remaing + terminal?

There are movements of that number on Ebay to replace that one for around 20 bucks.

Yea that’s the easiest way to “repair” any quartz model. Just see if you can replace the whole thing on a swap. ✌️😉
