Vintage 1986 Casio TS-1000 Cal. 215 Thermometer Digital Watch - eBay Find!

In this video, I refurbished a 1986 Casio TS-1000 Cal. 215 Thermometer Digital Watch. I found this watch on eBay. It was part of a lot that was being sold for parts. I paid $14.99 for the whole lot. This was the only good watch in the lot. The band was in a very bad shape, so I had to change it and the watch required some cleaning and a fresh battery. I think it turned out great.

What band did you end up going with? Looks like the same band I used for my TS-1200 which is from a Casio AE1200. I found the AE1200 band to be very uncomfortable and tight in the sides of my wrist when paired with this watch. Did you have the same issue or is it fine for you?

I believe mine is from a Casio F-108WH. I have a box full of old Casio watches, parts and bands. I found this one to fit very well and it is comfortable too. I think I have a picture of the original band from a 1986 Casio catalog. I’ll post a screenshot of it as soon as I find it. Your watch looks very good. Thank you for watching 😎

Ya they don’t last 100 years unfortunately lol I was so worried the case would crumble any second when I was working on it. I’ve had that happen a couple times.

The cool thing about this watch is the small wrist indicator which I discovered after I made the video. It’s pretty cool.

Fantastic video! I have one of those I bought new in 1982. The thermometer function on mine doesn't work...all I get are dashes where the temperature should be. Have you heard of a fix while you were researching this watch?

I think cleaning the sensor will probably help. They are not very accurate though. Still a very cool watch. You can also try AC reset. Let me know how it goes.

AC reset? Is that the "Do not turn" screw under the back cover?

Here is how you do the AC Reset. You can see it in my video as well.
