New G-SHOCK METAL 5000 Addition. 40th Anniversary Recrystallized limited-edition timepiece.
This is the 40th anniversary with the GMW-B5000PS — an addition to the line of GMW-B5000 full-metal takes on the very first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000, which debuted 40 years ago in April 1983. This limited-edition timepiece is clad in recrystallized and deep-layer hardened stainless steel.
Following recrystallization and deep-layer hardening, the bezel and band are treated with titanium carbide (TiC) coating and the screw-lock case back with DLC coating. This is an incredibly unique finish. Never seen anything even remotely close to this from any other manufacturer. Removing the bracelet links is definitely different. Actually once I got the hang of it, it was rather easy. Very ingenious on CASIO’s part. The bracelet and closure are very well made and the fit and finish are very nice for the entire watch. This is the second G-SHOCK I have purchased in the last two weeks. This being on the high end side. So far, I am impressed. They make a gold tone version of the same model. Also very nice. Just thought the stainless would hold up better over the long haul.

Like it a lot. Great plus on this 'colorway'- lil scratches as they happen through wearing will just be seeable when one knows where to look at
