New addition to the collection- Perrelet skeleton Chronograph dual time

So I know that perrelet around the watch community is sometimes considered a swear word, but I have to admit I kind of fell for the brand. For me as a young graduate and a big lover of horology perrelet is a gateway to luxary watch pieces for a price of a quite expensive watch, especially on the second hand market.

So I wanted to buy an omega, but found out that perrelet used to make other pieces rather than just turbines and stumbled upon a perrelet Chrono big date that I absolutely loved, now having already a Hamilton, Seiko Kakume and a seagull chrono i figured I have enough of sporty choreographs and found this beauty.

Now photos do it no good, I'd need to have a proper camera to capture how great the watch looks in real life, it's very reflective and has nice perlage all over its body from the back and front. I really do like the detail and how well the watch it's finished and decorated, even my turbine perrelet caseback looked gorgeous and made me feel like I have a beautiful watch.

I wanted to own something original and I guess I fulfilled my dream with the tight budget I have currently. It's a very nice watch that I can dress up and down, now skeletons might not the everyday tea for some people, but to me it's a nice watch. Having the date and "GMT" function makes the dial a bit crowded but to me the watch has charm. Once o figure out how to make better photos will keep you posted

Shows you what a newbie dabbler I am - had no idea Perrelet was / is considered a ‘swear word’ in the multiheaded beast that is the watch community :) To me this watch looks classy, very well finished and thanks to the contrasting blued hands quite legible despite the four subdials on a skeletonised background. Enjoy it m8!

Well I suppose it is considered by the more snobbish members of the community who look down on the attempts of the brand trying to be "hip" with it's turbines and sometimes crazy designs. I feel like if you don't have crazy amount of money and like me I had around 4-5 k $ to spend on a watch and yes maybe a zenith is a better chronograph, maybe an omega has a better level of finishing however I can get all of this for almost half the price of the zenith same thing in a perrelet. The watch has this beautiful creamy white dial and at first I hated the 3D rendering of the watch but in real life as you said the beautiful blue hands reflect the light and the brass parts of the watch do the same. If light shines properly on it it looks like a galaxy. Definitely am happy with the bargain I got considering I payed "only" around those 4-5k hallmark. I really do not get why perrelet gets all that hate, hope the brand manages to push through and get the recognition it should get in my opinion. They have forward thinking designs and I feel like how many freaking dive and dress watches you can own untill you get bored
