Sam's Watch Review (Q&Q Falcon QB38-304)

How I Got It

This is my third watch I get after gifting my Apple Watch to my sister. Thought the field style dial looks good at the time and with the cheap price tag, I just grabbed it and didn't look back. However it came a green semi fabric and leather strap which looks horrible in my eyes which I then swapped with a 'Bamboo Leather' as the seller told me pairing it with a cheap Butterfly style clasp.

Build Materials & Appearance

The watch has a field style white dial with black hour markers which are just painted. Plastic hollow minute and hour hands in black, stainless steel case back however I think the case is just chrome paint resin which I'm not quite sure as the watch is not that popular and I don't have much info on it. It got brown 'Bamboo Leather' strap with Butterfly style clasp now which makes it look more classy. Dial is covered with mineral glass.

Pros & Cons Starting with Cons then Pros

The case material as I said feels like chrome painted resin. The way it shines just doesn't look like proper metal to me but I don't know 😅. The dial as I said is also a bit cluttered, a bit busy but maybe it's just me.

The Falcon QB38-304 from a far looks good kinda have a 'proper' watch looks to it if we are looking at it from a distance. The weight is as if we're not wearing anything on my wrist, very lightweight! Im not sure how long will the battery last but the quartz is good. Of course most quartz is better than mechanical in terms of timekeeping but hey! I really appreciate accurate time with my lifestyle. The minute and hour hands are very unique as it is hollow in the middle so we can see through it but that just means it lacks lume. I'm not complaining though, just loving it.

Summary

This watch now is acting as my dress watch considering the leather style which gives it a classy look, combined with the thin case. I am planning to get a proper dress watch later on someday but for now, this will do. For those who loves field style watch but having a super tight budget or maybe you just aren't so comfortable spending more than $20 for a good looking watch then get this. It's light, it's easy to read, it's accurate and it's from Japan under Citizen sub. Nothing much to complain about.
