Choosing between Hamilton, Tissot, Bulova, Citizens or Something else... that is unique, class and a conversation starter. Maybe a chronograph... not sure.... Thoughts!

What about not a Chronograph? I will look into the Bulova.
Isn't the Bulova like 43mm.
I am looking something under 40mm.
if you want something really interesting you could look at a Seagull 1963, mechanical chronograph with a beautiful movement and a smaller case size
definitely a conversation starter but be aware that mechanical chronographs arent as easy to use a quartz watches
no chronograph, you could look at Seiko Presage pieces or if you're fine with homage watches you could look at Steinhart. You'd get some very well swiss made watches there

Thanks! But not really what I am looking for. Anything else?
Seiko is always a great place to start, they make really great timeless stuff for reasonable prices. Brew watches also makes some really cool interesting pieces all under the $500 price point I believe
If you want a chronograph for around $600 then look into Seiko Speedtimer models. 39mm and 41mm models are available plus quite a few color options to choose from the lineup. At that pricepoint it's hard to find a different brand with good finishing and size options. Citizen chronos are available but those are usually on the larger side.
Or if you want a conversation starter then the new Speectimer SFJ series.
Or the budget option is Orient Mako chronograph
And if you want something automatic and just a 3-hander then lot of options to choose from Seiko for under $600. Citizen has a few good models too at the same price range. Hamilton khaki field and maybe Tissot Gentleman (slightly more than 600 but you get good deals during holiday season) if you want to go Swiss.

Deep Blue, Nodus and Zepplin. I own all three and love them.

Maybe Tissot has some quartz offerings around 600$
maybe a Hamilton Khaki
but i think Seiko gives you the widest range of watches in that price range
