My 2nd 11.11 AliExpress purchase has landed, and I’m in love!

After having my eye on this for the past couple of months I picked this up (along with my Berny SNK homage) in AliExpress’ 11.11 sale. I have seen multiple versions of this watch for sale, bracelet and leather straps being universal. There is the version I chose; smooth bezel and oversize onion crown, smooth bezel and normal crown, and coin edge bezel and onion crown.

This arrived yesterday. I was very pleasantly surprised to find screwed links in the bracelet. But the clasp did not appear to have micro adjusts, at least not what I am used to seeing. And a flip lock, friction clasp. But I’ll get there.

The case is 39mm with 20mm lugs. It appears larger, and wears amazingly on my 7.5” wrist. The movement is an Epson VH31 sweeping quartz. This is super easy to read at a glance. And the lume is like a torch! I wear glasses, so if I can easily read the time in the dark without them after an hour or more in bed then it passes for me. The crystal is sapphire, I cannot confirm ar coating. The oversize onion crown is a screw down along with the caseback being screwdown. This pilot’s watch also has 200m of wr. The lume is orange of course.

Now the bracelet. To say I am chuffed is a bit of an understatement. We have solid end links that fit to the case without any play. As mentioned above the links are held in place with screws. The clasp is what I call “Old Rolex” because that is what it makes me think of. The only sharp points in the bracelet are on the 4 corners of the clasp. Also this is the first clasp I have had like this. I did not initially see the micro adjusts and did not know about the extension. But once you pop out the extension, you have access to a hidden spring bar with 3 micro adjusts inside the clasp.

SteelFlier has very good customer service by the way. I asked if they sold alternative clasps and they sent me a video showing how to adjust the clasp.

I am very pleased with this purchase and would not hesitate to pull the trigger again.
