Workman's watch a derogatory therm for a Rolex tool watch?

Just as Rolex itself does I described the Rolex sub as a (very good) workman's watch. So for the workers that need an absolutely almost perfect dive watch. That got me a "you're not living in reality" reaction from a Rolex fanboy. So what is it. Is Rolex itself wrong and the fanboys right? Please fill in the poll and give a reaction. I differentiated "tool watch" from "workman's watch". I think they're the same. What do you think? edit: added last question.

This statement doesn’t make any sense just like your caption. Please reread, as it’s riddled with grammar errors making it difficult to understand what you’re trying to get at.

Teach me. English is only my 4th language so it must be bad indeed. And please don’t be a racist.

B and D.

Don't judge a person by their watch. Not everybody who wears a diver is a diver. Not everybody who wears a tool watch...

You’re absolutely right of course.

You are referring to my comment in a thread where you called the current version of the Rolex Sub a workman’s watch. I posted the following:

„Sure Rolex is not „haut horology“ (sic), but if you call a 10.000€ Luxury item a workman’s watch, you must have lost touch with reality.“

I have no idea how you can read this as me being a Rolex Fanboy.

The sub is a luxury item, that’s why they get sold at the jeweler’s and not at the hardware store.

I do not agree for I know a lot of people who bought it as just the tool watch they take it for. I do understand disagreement and even discussions trying to resolve them. However, I do not understand people who go into childish and nasty offences pure out of irrational emotions. It's probably the environment you live in but in mine we have a modicum of decorum that prohibits just that.

The fact that you can "sic" a word my editor automatically wrote down is not the prove of superior intelligence that you think to poses. Your immature attack on non-existent grammar mistakes unmasks you as illiterate and conflict driven. I may be wrong but I presume you're from the US. That would explain your instant polarising snarky-ness.

You can feel whatever you like about Rolex but not everyone will agree with you. Even your definition of a luxury product, being that because it's expensive and sold at a jeweler, is not true for everyone. Your bizarre and utterly unnecessary cynical respons makes clear you are a fanboy that doesn't tolerate someone making fun of his god-tier watch. Rolex is very good at marketing and influencing. You're a fitting example of a possible result. The rest of your pathetic responses seal the case.

I wish you well with your Rolex and do yourself a favour and put me on ignore. If you want an honest and mature discussion, I'm all yours.
