question regarding rolex sapphire glass and cyclops

Pre Rolex laser sketching the crown on the Sapphire Crystal.

Are there any difference of a non-rolex Sapphire crystal and cyclops over a generic sapphire class with a cyclops?

I know the newer models have a crown sketching on the glass, but is that the only thing that distinguish Rolex Sapphire glass vs a generic glass?
