Buy from sellers with reputable history
Do a Google search on videos for best tips to purchase on eBay. It helped me big time to get a watch I wanted.
Buy from a reputable sellers with good reviews, check their selling history if available, set in stone the amount you're willing to expend, pay with pay pal, or with a credit card with a good fraud protection. I have been using ebay for more than a decade and have always had a good experience. Have a good luck in your hunt.
I always interact with the seller by asking questions. That gives me a sense of whether the watch listing is legitimate and the condition it says it’s in is accurate. I’ve purchased several great watches on eBay.
Bought and sold quite a few on Ebay. Never had a problem.
I haven't had any problems at all as a purchaser. I interact with the seller if I can, check their reviews and rarely purchase from any seller with less than 97% good feedback. Even with the odd problem, ebay massively side with the purchaser on any dispute in my experience.

I've bought a few watches from eBay.. no issues so far just double checking the sizes they sometimes get the watch size wrong good luck !
