Great color combo on your Gruen. What is the model name? I think this is the definition of a classic dress watch.

Honestly don’t known if it has a model name. I bought this in a “lot” of seven watches sold together on eBay. Might the the only one that ends up being salvageable. I got them to practice watchmaking skills and was able to clean this up and do minimal movement service to get it running. Also buffed the heck out of the crystal so it’s presentable, but crystal could be replaced.

I’m slowly working through the others but so far a couple have corrosion too extensive to recover from. I liken it to medical students learning anatomy on cadavers. Can’t do any more damage to those patients. 😉

All in all, not a bad return on a $42 investment for seven vintage watches. 👍🏻

The Gruen alone is well worth what you got the lot for. Congratulations on getting it cleaned up and running, from the picture it looks to be a really stunning watch.
