Mechanical movement watch does not move fully wound

Hi guys, i have a problem with an old mechanical watch that will not start moving without wrist movement but is fully wound

Any help would be much appreciated as this was my grandmothers

You mean it takes a tap to start? Pretty normal.

I think it's safe to say that no service has been seen, say, this century? Dried up and dirty lube. It is a thing.

I have a Russian watch that needs a little push to get started when fully wound. You can guess the brand I'm sure.

Like @OscarKlosoffWatch said, its pretty normal to happens because lack of service and some drag by dried lube on pivots/jewels. But in my opinion you don't need to keep it in that way. You could look for a watchmaker and consider do a servicing. By the way, nice vintage watch. 😊

The good news is that if it runs, the pieces are probably all there and not broken. The bad news is that watch service almost always requires full disassembly anyway. Hand wind watches are slightly less trouble, so there is that.
