Good morning community!

I successfully took apart the AE1300WH-8AV and removed the factory positive polarized film with some Goo Gone and elbow grease.

Got to admit I did start to rush towards the end of finishing up the mod because I have the terrible habit of rushinng my mods when I get close to finishing and I’m to excited to call it for the night and go back to it later.

That being said, I really was only interested in proof of concept anyways, think of it as a rough draft mod. I plan on going back into it a few times to adjust and will probably do a few of them for fun being that the cost of the Watch is pretty affordable.

This is what it looks like so far. Sloppy job and I’m obviously not even close to being done until it’s to my standards. The color filters are not coming through after installation on the face plate before the case.

It was a lot of fun and a good break from working on mechanical watches with much more fragile parts. I have a more planned as far as case swapping , material, relocation of color filters, and face plate options to go for this watch so stay tuned if your interested in that short of thing.
