A very classy Solvil et Titus from the 90s

This one I found on Ebay for 50 Euro, but in my opinion I exudes far more elegance than the price suggests. It is the Solvil et Titus Convexe. Even though the brand doesn't ring a bell in many ears it was founded 1887. Some may know the popular Titus Calypsomatic, a diver very close to the early Rolex big crown subs. Today the brand is focused mainly on the Asian market, sitting in Hong Kong. Their watches are still made in Switzerland though.

If you like the watch, there are still some floating around ebay. I think, if you are looking for an affordable alternative to a Cartier tank this is a great option away from the popular seikos. The quality is very nice and the shape, sub second, bregue numerals and hands are such a beautiful combination. It has a quartz movement and is 10 micron gold plated.

Bargain, especially when compared to the Hamilton Boulton quartz which is criminally overpriced.

I think there are a lot of watches in this style to be discovered and a lot of bargains to be found!
