They make cool watches, just make sure whichever you get fits. You‘d hate to spend that kind of money and not enjoy wearing it due to the size. They are largely big cases and for someone like me with a flat 6.5“ wrist, I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t look like I’m wearing a WWE belt on my wrist. I know they have a couple smaller cases like @martini said, which is wear I’d personally start.
I don’t own a Panerai and I find the endless number of models that all look basically the same to be a real head scratcher. That being said, I would only be looking at a Panerai that had the sandwich dial and go from there. I see that as kind of a signature design element for them

I agreed! the first impression i got for a panerai is a sandiw dial and crown guard. So i think i should go for it! Thanks for your comments!

I m looking at the new 42mm submesible too. Maybe i should try out the watches before confirming the purchase. Thanks for your input!
First pass , sandwich all the way BUT take the advice of the previous posts and try both on - maybe a few other models as well. Comfort is a big piece of the enjoyment

Yes i think a smaller size is more wearable and less fatigue over time. I will check out pam01272 too. Thanks for your feedback!
Sandwich, definitely the sandwich!
