On this edition of me buying watches on a trip and recklessly spending, I present to you my new Victorinox INOX chronograph.
I was in a mall in Kochi in a state called Kerala here in India on my bi-annual visit to my parents that I came across this watch on a billboard. That red dial instantly caught my fancy and I had to see this watch in person.
Lucky for me one of the watch stores had this in stock and the moment I saw this, I knew I had to get this. Hard to explain but that red dial just spoke to me.
Something that stood out to me was the lume on this watch. It has huge lumed markers, broad lumed hands, lumed Victorinox logo at 12 and a lumed pip even though the bezel doesn’t turn.
Some specs for those interested:
Diameter: 43mm
L2L: 52 mm
Movement: Ronda 5040.E
Water resistance: 200mm
Crystal: Sapphire
Complications: 1/10th chronograph, day, date
Although not all hands hit the markers precisely, for equivalent of $650 I can’t complain. The watch itself weighs close to my Explorer 2 despite having a quartz movement and a strap which leads me to believe it’s built extra solid haha
To conclude, super happy with the purchase and can’t get enough of that beautiful red dial!

Thanks! Could be that sturdy build that’s attractive or the foolish nature and history of the company. This and my Panerai, both make me feel like I wanna put on war paint and rappel down into a jungle haha
