Just thought I'd share my experience with changing the battery on said watch. I don't dive so was not overly concerned with water proof ratings etc sacrilegious I know!! Sorry to all out there who would be more responsible but I am on a budget. ๐
So I thought I would just whip the caseback off, replace the battery, reset and voila a great watch for me to wear but no.
I could not get the back off, consulted the Web and decided to superglue a nut to the back and use a wrench to get the thing off, sheared the nut off several times, zero movement on the caseback.
Fourth attempt this time with larger nut ๐ success ๐ Just need to give it a good clean. Quite happy with myself

Interesting process and very resourceful! Did taking the battery out and replacing it pose any other problems? Is it eco-drive or regular quartz?

No the only problem was removing the caseback, swapped the battery and it runs perfectly.
It's quartz.
Have a great day ๐,
